- Q. Where is VirtuLINK, LLC located?
A - Chicago IL, Hampton, NJ
- Q. What does VirtuCARE mean?
A - VirtuCARE represents the ability to communicate with all members of a service delivery team including family members. Even though all treatment team members treat the client individually all can communicate virtually via the VirtuCARE application.
- Q. What is the VirtuLINK Framework (VFW)?
A - The VFW is a set of scripts based on basic PHP and MYSQL that comprise an online database management system complete with full security (users, user group) as well as
configuration tools already built in...allowing you to build and track an unlimited amount of data in a menu / form driven way. Currently, this framework has been used to design data-driven
websites such as ecommerce sites, practice sites, member management systems, art galleries, etc.
- Q. What other services are available for purchase?
A - Along side of the VirtuCARE application we do provide a variety of services geared towards the success of your organization including website design, database reporting and development, and service delivery process consulting.
- Q. Do you offer a billing application?
A - Given the variety of third party billing products and clearing houses, we currently do not provide medical (claim form) billing, however, are more than willing to provide standard invoicing / billing systems as well as interfaces
to third party / existing medical billing systems.
- Q. Do you offer mobile solutions?
A - VirtuLINK currently offers "connected" mobile solutions. Disconnected / syncronizable solutions will be quoted on a per project basis.
- Q. What is your pricing structure, how are contracts developed?
A - A client record project is priced based on just a couple of components including: number of named users, implementation service level, on the size and scope of the project and annual maintenance agreements. Consulting fees can be founds under "services". Web Design fees
vary from $1000 and average around $2000...maintenance and hosting contracts are available.
- Q. What is an ASP?
A - ASP stands for Application Service Provider. Although the application data belongs to the agencies it is housed on a server that can be managed by VirtuLINK, LLC. VirtuLINK, LLC provides remote access to the application via MS Internet Explorer. No software is loaded to any desktop in the agency greatly reducing internal IT costs. ASP’s are a way for companies to let others manage some or all of their information technology needs.
- Q. If we need the information form VirtuCARE to move to other databases can this be provided?
A - If a customer is supporting multiple databases, as part of the implementation process these secure connections will be built. VirtuCARE allows for an export of any data to a 3rd party database like MS SQL so that it can be combined with data from other systems.
- Q. What Database and application development tool do you use?
A - We have standardized on PHP, JAVA and MySQL (database) for their power, flexibility, compatability and open source nature. This allows us to build
fast, reliable, cross-platform compatable and affordable sites / applications.
- Q. How does VirtuCARE comply with HIPAA regulations?
A - VirtuCARE supports customer compliance with HIPAA privacy and security rulemaking through the use of enhance security functions including audit trail management, view rights based on user roles and/or by individual, encrypting linking and secure socket layers (SSL).
